I was recently attacked by a plot bunny. The idea is loosely based on a paragraph from Edgar Allan Poe's Masque of the Red Death: a bunch of people end up at a fancy party without remembering how they got there and things go south. As is usual in my stories, everyone is associated with a particular color. This dude is unlucky enough to get magenta.

Did I mention this idea is also loosely based on the failed story Blur?

Quick Concept for NMC

I had her once on the blog before; here's what I know of her.
She's a scientist of some sort--I'm leaning towards psychologist. She was actually caught and jailed some time ago for... unethical experiments, but a rouge detective released her if she agreed to work for him.

She's still villainous, though, and doesn't always hold up her end of the deal. She prefers working independently when she can. Her M.O... I need to work on it, because right now she's just Scarecrow without the silly costume.

Doesn't have a name yet. May throw in a Scarecrow reference if I can't come up with anything else. =P

...so yeah! She's there.

More apologies!

I know I missed last night. I was busy with an art project. I'll probably also be missing an update this Friday, at the very least. I hope to put together some fancier stuff in the coming days to make up for it.

Today, I also want to apologize to DAV. He's by far the coolest villain of NMC, and yet I draw him in demeaning pictures far more than any one character. The only character with more demeaning pictures, in fact, is probably José the dorp-bot, and... he's intentionally dorpy.


So here's a darker doodle of him to make up for it. I'm sorry, DAV.

I can't quite decide how I want it to look. Do I change her hair so there's not as much going on with the face? Do I change the stripes on the side? How about the bottom of the jacket? Where does she keep her pistols if she can't easily pull them out of the jacket? What do I do with the boots?

It will be a long time before I get this ironed out.
