The Friendly Ghost, Part 1

So, now that you've seen the relationship chart from two posts back, I hope you have some questions about the cast members of NaNo 09. Like "Who is the 'friendly ghost' off to one side that you failed to introduce? And why are Chase and that one guy not friends anymore (but used to be, and by the way I'm going to call that guy Brian from now on)?


Oh, it's not that long. Here, I'll summarize it with a few lines of text and crude drawings.

So one day, Chase was hanging out with Brian and Brian's girlfriend. The girlfriend was really into the occult, and eventually:


Chase, being a science nerd, thinks it's all blasphemous, but then Brian is like:


So Brian and his girlfriend get to discussing what exactly they're going to do in this seance, and then:


And then they go through with it, much to Chase's dismay. Fortunately, nothing happens, but Chase still decides that he needs new friends.
